Paper Abstract:
|
Various efforts in this regard have failed to provide the initial benefits envisioned by the initiators. One option that management may consider is to use an existing e-learning environment development model (EEDM) as a guideline. An EEDM is defined as a scientifically generated framework for guiding the developer of an e-learning environment in the process of designing, developing and implementing an e-learning environment. Numerous EEDMs are available. In considering an EEDM as a guideline during the development of an e-learning environment, a list of characteristics that such an EEDM should adhere to, may prove to be valuable in the selection process. The focus of this paper is to look at the characteristics that an EEDM should adhere to, in order to be considered as a comprehensive EEDM. |
