Paper Abstract:      This research project proposes to advance in the comprehension of online learning experiences in general and, in particular, of the states of flow that emerge in the consumption of higher-education training products in virtual environments. To this purpose, we propose to develop and test empirically a flow model. This initiative aims to clarify the ambiguities and inconsistencies existing in the literature regarding the conceptualisation and operationalisation of flow in general websurfing and consumption contexts, and in turn to characterise the learning process in virtual learning environments.
