Paper Abstract:
|
A computer networks are used in modern society for many critical applications, it is commonly recognized that it is necessary to improve their dependability. The dependability mainly depends on availability, reliability, safety, confidentiality, integrity and maintainability; this paper discussed the effect of distance vector links and computer network components on availability, the result of the suggested examples showed that the availability will be improved by reducing the distance vector, and this will cause reducing the fault tolerance which depended on Mean time To Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time To Failure (MTTF). The results also showed increasing network availability depends on fault tolerance reduction and selecting computer network components of high availability. |
