Paper Abstract:
|
The Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system has been one of the most popular business management systems by providing the benefits of real-time functionalities and seamless communication for large organizations. However, not all ERP implementations have been successful. Since an ERP implementation affects an entire organization including its processes, people, and culture, there are a number of challenges that companies may encounter in implementing an ERP system. Recently, banks in Libya have started replacing their legacy systems with an ERP system in order to improve management, administration and productivity as well as performance. This study focuses on the factors impacting the successful implementation of an ERP in the National Commercial Bank (NCB) in Libya. The researchers also reviewed related studies that focus on the Critical Successful Factors (CSFs) in the implementation of an ERP in different environments. The factors established in the case study of NCB were then compared to the factors identified in the literature. |
