Paper Abstract:      With hundreds of videos being uploaded to the video platform YouTube each second, many of these uploaded videos are lost in the sea of content never to be discovered by the potential audience it targets with only a select few becoming trending and reaching their potential audience. Now there are many factors that come into play when video becomes trending. The goal of this research is to understand what makes a video become trending on YouTube. The research has two essential parts: data mining and visualizing the collected data. Due to the vast amount of content uploaded to this platform this paper will focus on the Balkan countries. The result of this research shows how video makers that want to establish themselves on YouTube can use data mining and visualization to predict what videos can become trending and to understand the patterns of already trending videos.
