Paper Abstract:
|
This study tried to test the difference of viewer's awareness of visual object depends on sound existence using an eye
tracker system. Especially, this experiment tested research questions about positive correlation between sound and
viewersÂ’ eye movements following the sound source (where the sound originates). 20 subjects participated in the test.
Different stimuli have different visual elements. Two different groups were exposed to two visual elements representing
'shot with sound source' and 'shot without sound source'. This research found that viewers tended to connect the sound
source in the visual to the object or area of sound source in the visual. Also by comparing the gaze time at the object and
area of sound source in visual, we were able to verify the existence of sound diverse viewer's perspective of visual and
provide the information which viewers can not easily get only from visual elements. |
