Paper Abstract:
|
We propose a new method for creating evolutionary 3D shape models. Given several initial models and the mixing rate of them, our method creates novel and plausible 3D shapes. Our method is designed by evolutionary operations such as crossover and mutation. In this work, shape blending in crossover and in mutation is newly introduced. The created parts are stored in multiple family-tree structures, where each part of the initial models is the origin of the parts. Moreover, shape dis-similarity using shape histograms is used in fitness calculation. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our new evolutionary creation of 3D shapes. |
