Paper Abstract:
|
Edge Side Includes (ESI) is a simple markup language used to define web page fragments. The fragments are cached close to the client side (i.e., at the edge of the network), and assembled and delivered to the client upon request. This reduces server-side computing costs, improves response time, and speeds up content delivery. This paper proposes an ESI-based approach to caching dynamic content that includes support for dependency checking. |
