Paper Abstract:
|
The objective of this paper is to design new User Experience by revealing how users see digital photographs in context of
daily life. First, we clarified the tendency of the way users see the digital photographs by questionnaire survey. Based on
the results, three ways of seeing digital photographs were defined. Then interviews were conducted to clarify how they
saw digital photographs. As a result, it was found that many users enjoyed seeing digital photographs without anyones
presence. More than half of users interviewed looked also relevant photographs (ex. all the photographs in the folder).
Noteworthy feature when seeing photograph is chained actions that sequentially appear. These are considered to be the
actions that users awake their memories of other events when users see some photographs and then the users see
unexpected photographs. We named this phenomenon as Action-C. It was also found that users enjoy this Action-C
and a draft of system concepts is drawn. The User Experience based on the way of enjoying digital photographs arising
from this action is now being developed. |
