Paper Abstract:      This paper deals with the creation of reusable geo-referenced multimedia learning resources. These resources often need to be created and assembled on the field and then semantically indexed and stored in repositories. We give technical aspects that we advice to take into consideration for gathering multi-media resources when visiting some interesting sites. We present and illustrate an application that can be installed on mobile devices which helps to link together several elements, like photos and notes, and attach them to the same location. Thanks to this application called the GeoBook, the complex objects obtained in this manner are associated to GPS coordinates. This application is supported by a server that serve as a repository for the objects built on the field. We qualify the resulting objects with the term of geo-referenced learning objects. We describe the ontologies we have developed for representing these objects and in particular the notion of proximity that can be associated. We give some examples of queries on RDF knowledge base that allow to discover sets of resources. We also present a learning scenario involving the use of the application where the role of geo-referenced learning objects appears crucial.
