Paper Abstract:      A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a collection of mobile platforms or nodes where each node is free to move about arbitrarily. Since disconnection occur frequently, MANET cause frequent network partition. Consequently, data replication is considered as a way to increase the data accessibility and the availability of transaction processing. However, if the database is replicated among mobile hosts, additional energy for supporting data consistency can be consumed. To reduce the consumption of energy, the host should reduce the number of message for validating update transactions. In this paper, we propose three data replication schemes for MANET. We extend the traditional distributed replications scheme to MANET. The proposed schemes take into account the number of message; hence, it can improve the energy efficient by reducing additional the number of message broadcasting to maintain consistency.
