Paper Abstract:
|
Hardware will not only be more and more undersized, but will also be able to understand our speech. It will be smart, ubiquitous, pervasive, ambient, and (mostly) used in connection with the Internet. Upcoming tech-developments like ubiquitous and wearable computing (wearables) and smart technologies will influence our personal life and work environment to a great extent. Tech-trends, as mentioned (exemplarily) in this paper, show diverse new forms of applications, they also present various possibilities of monitoring focusing on questions like Who has the control of (personal) data?, How much control will be accepted?, Who ensures that unauthorized people do not have access to personal data?, Which data at what time and under what circumstances are monitored and which consequences are intended? On the one hand the paper therefore puts emphasis on selected upcoming technologies and applications in the e-Society, and on the other hand presents possibly related aspects of privacy. |
