Paper Abstract:
|
Educational initiatives which deal with the multi-user virtual world Second Life have underlined the need to go deeper in the exploration of affordances offered by that environment in order to foster the enactive aspect of didactics. The present contribution will focus on the value of the concept of embodiment in enacting intersubjectivity in in-world events such as hands-on workshops run within a formal teachersÂ’ taining course. The analysis provide evidence that there exist in Second Life a different level of embodiment which can deeply affect intersubjectivity and consequently the value of interactions during a collective task which actively involves the participants through their avatarÂ’s presence. |
