Paper Abstract:
|
This paper reports the findings of a study based on empirical research on mobile learning. There are concrete theoretical findings on the problems of mobile learning, a modern concept. Although mobile learning is commonly practiced, no fundamental research has been carried out so far. It is important to choose appropriate teaching materials for mobile learning because the screens of mobile devices are smaller than those of PCs or televisions. Therefore, when developing content for mobile learning, the videos might differ from those developed for e-learning. In this study, we focus on the instructors pointing and the pointer. Participants are presented with two audiovisual materials in a training condition, after which they give a performance test and are administered a questionnaire. The results show no significant difference in the performance test among the participants, but almost every participant opts for the pointer content. |
