Paper Abstract:
|
This paper proposes a novel educational support system for remote education on electronic circuit experiments in technological education. The proposed system consists of experimentersÂ’ mobile systems and a remote analysis system. Each mobile system, which an experimenter (a student) uses, includes 5 CCD-cameras and transmits video data of circuits made by the student to the analysis system during experiment. The analysis system automatically recognizes the change of the circuit construction one after another in real-time by using 4-dimensional image (3-dimensional moving image) processing, and translates the circuit into a general circuit-description language (SPICE). This automated SPICE translation allows simulation of the circuit operation and inform the behavior of the circuit before or without operating the circuit. Moreover, the proposed system can automatically teach incorrect parts in the circuit to an experimenter. Thus, the system improves the efficiency and safety of experiments. To investigate the usefulness of the proposed system, it is evaluated by applying 98 circuits constructed by university students in a real class. |
