Paper Abstract:
|
Functional Size Measurement (FSM) methods are becoming increasingly popular in the software engineering field for different purposes, like to manage changes in Functional User Requirements (FUR). Several studies investigated the problem of Functional Change (FC) and its impact on the software development progress. COSMIC-FSM method has been successfully used to assess the FC status in order to identify how important is a FC. This paper proposes to use the FC status to identify automatically the students' ratings when measuring FUR in terms of COSMIC Function Point (CFP) units. The tool proposed in this paper has been tested using an experiment with 30 computer engineering students in Web and Multimedia Technologies at the Higher Institute of Computer Science and Multimedia, University of SfaxTunisia. This experiment showed that the proposed tool can be used in identifying a realistic and a rapid measure of students' ratings based on the FC status. |
