Paper Abstract:
|
Most learning management systems contain support for web-based evaluation and assessment of semester courses,
departments, or some kind of opinion polls. These platforms also offer web-interface for exercises and examinations,
given in a form of multiple choice tests. Despite several standardization efforts, there are still no uniform solutions for
assessing and evaluation process. This paper presents a generic approach that solves the problem of defining,
implementing and deploying any kind of questionnaires in a uniform and scalable manner. The XML based solution is
offered as a pluggable module which can be added to any e-learning platform allowing for simple construction and
deployment of arbitrary questionnaires. Furthermore, a generic solution for XML generation (without need to know
XML) offers possibilities to apply the developed XML editor in a range of different applications. |
