Paper Abstract:
|
It is difficult to select a development process best suited for developing an E-commerce Information System.
Maintaining a database with previous cases and then determining whether there is similarities with the new
project at hand may be a reasonable way to solve the problem and prevent having to repeat previous selection
processes. In this paper, the foundations of a framework for selecting between different e-commerce
development-processes (e-Processes) are sketched applying Case-Based Reasoning Techniques. Cases are
retrieved from a knowledge base and the solution mapped from the previous cases to the target problem. The
resulting selection is tested in a simulated world and then retained as a reasonable solution in the knowledge base
for future reference. To demonstrate how the approach works its application on a case study is discussed. |
