Paper Abstract:
|
This paper charts the individual roles undertaken by both academic and technical staff in the creation of e-learning
materials and explores this relationship over a number of case studies within the context of institutional IT strategies.
Particular focus is given to identifying a sustainable work flow that enriches the end users (learners) experience with elearning,
by analysing the change management required to enable academic members access to the necessary tools,
infrastructure and skill sets required to provide re-usable learning resources on an ongoing basis. The primary focus is to
establish if the role of the educational technologist can be seen as an enabler of curriculum change or a mere additional
functionary to an already over burdened IT infrastructure. |
