Paper Abstract:      Early detection of movement disorder that accompanies neurodegenerative condition such as Parkinson’s disease is essential for its appropriate management. Clinicians have used handwriting analysis to enable this aim. However, this approach has a number of shortcomings. In this work, we outline a paper-based digital system that records and automatically analyses the dynamic handwriting features when the patient draws a spiral. The advantage of this approach is that patients are not required to follow complex commands and the analysis is fully automated.
