Paper Abstract:      Methodologies for the design of information systems have usually paid modest consideration to distribution and communication characteristic of systems. With the emergence of new architectural forms of Information Systems based on data and process distribution, the existing discontinuity between these methodologies and the project requirements becomes harmful for the project achievement. Moreover, the lack of communication between the project partner (Developers, Designers, Analysts…) can cause a misunderstanding between them. In this article, we propose a knowledge pattern formalism for the knowledge exchange between the different project partners. This approach relies on the knowledge maps established between the different partners that encapsulate their corresponding set of information and thus contribute to the distribution implementation.
