Paper Abstract:      This paper identifies the factors that determine the public adoption of e-banking services. Currently, e-banking exists in the forms of ATM, phone banking and Internet banking. Theory of planned behavior (TPB) and Technology acceptance model (TAM) were used to construct a model to study the adoption intention of e-banking in a well-developed financial city. The results indicate that the important determinants of e-banking adoption are perceived usefulness, trust, interpersonal influence and self-efficacy. Also the study finds that the relationships were found partially explained by the TPB. Understanding people’s adoption intention of e-banking can help financial institutions to formulate appropriate marketing strategies for new forms of banking so they are useful for the strategic planning of IT in banking.
