Paper Abstract:
|
Hyper videos introduce the possibilities of navigating and controlling the flow of information in a non-linear information structure to videos as we know them from hyper texts. In this paper we are going to analyze the design of linkage scenarios in hyper videos. We are going to transfer patterns of linkage as they are known for hyper texts to hyper videos and discuss the dramaturgical impact of these patterns to the story of a hyper video. The design of linkage scenarios should differ for special genres of film. We are going to analyze the design requirements for these genres of films. Finally the options to design a linkage scenario depend on the input devices the users are using to interact with the hyper video. Beside the traditional input devices individual users are interacting with, we are going to analyze how a linkage scenario must be realized for a group interaction. |
