Paper Abstract:      Hybrid work provides the potential to facilitate creative collaboration and the development of innovative ideas through greater flexibility in terms of time, space, and tools used for collaboration. However, fostering creativity in hybrid teams has proven challenging in practice due to the absence of established guidelines, design principles, and tools. This paper addresses the ongoing challenges that practitioners face in implementing hybrid group work and presents requirements for designing a work environment that fosters creativity. Utilizing focus groups, the study investigates strategies to mitigate technostress effects, promote co-presence, and enhance psychological safety in hybrid meetings. The findings offer practical insights into preparing, facilitating, and integrating online participants in hybrid meetings, contributing to a deeper understanding of effective strategies for fostering creativity in hybrid group work.
