Paper Abstract:
|
We discuss the investigation of cyber crime and the collection of intelligence. We call for agencies to produce robust
procedures that encompass the recommendations made by authorities. Products and services that can assist criminals to
perform crime are surprisingly unregulated in cyberspace. We argue that software end user licenses imply ownership of
products and services and this in turn should impose a duty of care upon the vendor. We suggest this duty of care should
extend to protect the public and the public wish as expressed in law. |
