Paper Abstract:      Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to the obligations of a firm to society or, more specifically, the firm’s stakeholders. In general there are ?ve dimensions of CSR: voluntariness, stakeholders, social, environmental and economic. Until now, the environmental dimension has received a lower attention than the others. However, is becoming more and more important, and is being introduced into the industry as part of its business processes. As part of the environmental perspective, we think that the inclusion of new aspects, related to the big presence of software systems into industry is of prime importance. So, in this paper we argue about the importance and necessity of including the software sustainability as part of the CSR of a firm, concretely into the environmental dimension.
