Paper Abstract:
|
In this paper, XML native databases some important advantages and disadvantages for e-health are analyzed, and the capability of XML databases is analyzed. Included results have been obtained through theorical and practical research, using similar environments as those that can be found in real situations, practical examples. We decided to check out the behavior and response capability of two different platforms: Microsoft Access and a XML platform named eXist. Finally, a comparison among both types of databases for providing telemedicine services is given, and a dissertation on the future direction of the technology related to database management is provided. |
