Paper Abstract:      The main contribution of this work in progress paper is a conceptual model that describes a novel approach to combine hashtags and ratings in the context of customer reviews. We propose a method to describe product aspects through hashtags in order to help customers finding relevant reviews more easily. We additionally propose the combination of a hashtag and a 5-point rating scale as a way for reviewers to express their opinion about an aspect. The ratings from these hashtags can be easily extracted and aggregated in order to give customers a better overview about the qualities of product aspects. We further demonstrate an early prototype that shows how the implementation of the conceptual model could look like. Finally, we discuss some challenges for the proposed approach.
