Paper Abstract:      In spite of the engaging characteristics of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) - assessment of knowledge using traditional MCQ is not objective and effective. Multiple choice questions are barely considered a suitable alternative for traditional assessment of deep knowledge. Multiple choice questions are frequently used but there is no consensus as to whether a penalty for wrong answers should be used or not and there is no way to prevent guessing or remembering of facts. This paper mentions advantages and disadvantages of traditional multiple choice questions and introduces a new form of assessment: the Combined Multiple-Choice Question (CMCQ). Unlike well known multiple-choice questions, CMCQ approach prevents examinees from guessing the correct answer and improves efficiency in knowledge assessment process.
