Paper Abstract:
|
This paper presents a new approach to empower rural women at/near their door steps. Under this approach, government ICT departments will establish ICT centers in some of the easy accessible places. Universities of that area will provide its academic and technical assistance to these centers for example, training provision in the centers. The centers will train the women with the help of universities for enhancing their I.T knowledge, online banking skills, employment opportunities etc. Once the training is completed, mobile applications will be introduced to implement the ICT Training thus, these ICT centers will be converted into SMART Centers. Further, ICT centers will be relocated to some other area so that maximum women can get technical training from such centers. We believe that such ICT trainings will perk up not only the life of rural women but also whole rural communities. This idea will be very fruitful in achieving smart cities goals. |
