Paper Abstract:
|
Gartner proposed and launched the term bi-modal IT in 2014. They made a challenge explicit what corporate IT departments face since a few years in increasing urgency. On the one hand IT departments act as a highly efficient and effective service delivery organization, on the other hand IT is taken as a key enabler for innovation. However, these two roles have completely different quality attributes attached to them and therefore must be adequately addressed by management. Each company tries to solve this challenge on its own and within its individual entrepreneurial context. This paper is mainly about the problem statement and preliminary research findings. The research design follows action research. |
