Paper Abstract:
|
Balance Table (BT) is an analytic tool developed for the evaluation of digital graphics on design interfaces. BT is part of
a Global Analysis Model (MAG)1 and it is based on recent research in interface design and related disciplines. Our
research is based on theories from the Communication Sciences and the Psychology of Perception.
Results will show how focusing on interface design as a communicational problem will aid global understanding of
visual information design.
The BT tool has been tested in a hypertext medium (CIMEPs2 intranet development). This testing process is part of a
Barcelona University PhD program called Research on Design. The aim of this PhD project is to develop from a
theoretical basis a methodological process that could be applied in case studies. |
