Paper Abstract:      There are different techniques to combine Web services, but they mostly apply to (deterministic) environments where composition possibilities are previously known and their results are predictable. Moreover, the need to generate and execute composite Web services tends to be continuous, because new goals to be achieved may arise due to new requests, the result of other services or the combination of both. This work proposes the use of Planning algorithms combined with monitoring and control mechanisms to handle real-time nondeterministic events. A set of goal-inference rules can be specified by users so that tasks to be performed are continuously detected and executed. Tests showed satisfactory results with little need of configuration. Automatic generation of new compositions was able to deal with different situations, and occurred with good performance when compared with other approaches.
