Paper Abstract:      This paper focuses on application of automated planning to grid stream processing systems. In today’s increasingly sophisticated IT environment, when large numbers of external servers/applications bombard these systems with multiple requests for service, self-configuration and self-tuning become critical preconditions for the existence of the system. In this article, we show how automated planning facilitates a resolution of complex situations, minimizes costs, and allows users to concentrate on their domain of expertise. We argue a necessity of an extension of existing planning description language to cover model of stream processing applications.
