Paper Abstract:
|
XQuery is the W3C standard to retrieve information from XML documents. KINISIS is a graphical query language which is designed and implemented upon XQuery, using metaphors extracted from the road traffic act. In this paper we present a controlled experiment investigation that we conducted in order to compare the understandability of KINISIS against XQuery. We describe the design and execution of the experiment, and present a critical analysis of the resulting data, the lessons learned and indications for future research. |
