Paper Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to suggest a strategic plan for mobile application developers, by studying their satisfaction with mobile application stores, and then to ensure that the identified needs are met. To discover the differences of developers satisfaction this study classified and analyzed mobile application stores business models. The recent increase of smartphones has given rise in interest in mobile application stores. After Apples App Stores success, many newcomers pursue Apples model and are already operating mobile application stores or are preparing for their own models. However, their results are not yet comparable to Apples. To become a successful mobile application store, it is very important to have a massive supply of applications. To have a massive supply of applications there has to be support of developers but there are very few studies concerning developers satisfaction or dissatisfaction with mobile application stores. This study organized the mobile application development process and found that presently developers issues are considered only as a part of the business model involving process development issues. This study endeavors to serve as a catalyst in reorganizing mobile application store operation strategies. |
