Paper Abstract:      During software development, the requirements elicitation phase becomes a fundamental part for the success of the project, as that is the time when the needs of the users are identified. The use of the prototype technique will lessen the occurrence of problems as far as the specification of their needs is concerned. Through it we can reduce the reworking time of those involved in the project of the site, and consequently, better meet the users’ expectations. The present work describes the use of this technique and evaluates web site design projects based on a research study of an IT company.
