Paper Abstract:
|
Most of the current e-learning systems are used as a vehicle to deliver contents to students, according to an established
sequence previously defined by the teacher. Pedagogical research suggests that learning characteristics vary for each
individual learner and that students prefer to use different types of resources in distinct ways. This paper introduces an
ongoing research on intelligent adaptive learning methods and tools in order to adapt a competitive learning system called
QUESTOURnament to the particular features and needs of each student. QUESTOURnament is an active and
competitive learning tool in which contests with several unclassified challenges are organized. The new adaptive
QUESTOURnament will classify the challenges on the basis of their estimated level of difficulty and will establish
learning paths adapted to each student. |
