Paper Abstract:
|
In recent years, it becomes important to keep our safety in the several levels. In order to obtain our security, some kinds
of monitoring or surveillance system are necessary to provide crime prevention and support disaster warning. A Webbased
remote surveillance system has been designed and implemented to get a snapshot image about a certain place and
to compute image processing for understanding such an image. The system has been built based on a Linux system with
Web service, Open CV engine for image processing, remote monitoring camera, and other facilities. The first purpose of
our research is to get real time detection of intrusion by means of our remote surveillance system. After application of our
system into detection of intrusion, we can compute image processing and get information about intruders tracks in the
monitored places. Such a case will be very useful to understand trace of intruders' tracks exactly. And it is also beneficial,
for example, that we can know what direction intruders go from and what direction they go to.
Our surveillance system has been applied to acquire data of important tracks of intruders who are citizens in this case and
go across relatively narrow streets and obtained information about suitable place to realize a necessary crosswalk
according to silent intruder's (namely silent citizens) requests. It can be concluded that our surveillance system is useful
to get remote-monitored images, compute image processing and obtain some kind of suitable information about
monitored place and/or intruder's behaviors for traffic assessment. |
