Paper Abstract:      This paper proposes a new product ranking mechanism for internet shopping sites based on the analysis of customer preferences on products, focused aspects of product characteristics, properties of review texts posted by customers. Analyses indicate that no correlation exists between numerical score and text reviews, and interest strength on various aspects of products varies from person to person. The use of importance vector results in more useful product ranking list.
