Paper Abstract:
|
Compact size, computational power, and pervasive nature make mobile phones an interesting candidate for education. The capabilities and capacities of mobile phones are different from other platforms. Furthermore, the mobile nature of their use presents new challenges regarding content creation. Therefore, in addition to developing technical solutions, it is essential to investigate practices for creating content appropriate for mobile phones. Models for creating, managing, delivering, and tracking mobile education are called for. This work presents an end to end model for creating and managing educational material distributed via a GSM operator. This model and initial experiences are presented. |
