Paper Abstract:
|
This paper identifies the role and use of Depth of Field in fine tuning strategic positions in the Australian Stock market
resulting from the use of tools made available using the Internet. It examines the threats and opportunities exerted on the
activities of the traditional stock broker in the Australian market as a result of the Internet being used by individual
traders, and discusses the importance of fine tuning strategic plays using Depth of Field analysis combined with the use
of Stochastic techniques in the Australian Stock Market during 1999/2004. It also shows how such analysis impacts upon
the design and development of an information system and how it may be used to aid students in the analysis and
development of DSS implementations. |
