Paper Abstract:
|
Recently, along with the wide spread of home networks, the video image transmission over wireless link between a video
server and a display is strongly required. However, currently, the system which transmits an HDTV video via wireless
link is not utilized in practical use. The bandwidth of HDTV video coded by MPEG-2 is 25Mbps, and it is comparable
with the throughput expected for 802.11a and 802.11g wireless LANs. In this paper, we show the result of an
experimental study of transmitting the HDTV video coded by MPEG-2 over the wireless LAN. In this experiment, we
focus on the behaviors over TCP and UDP, and the effects of TCP parameter values. |
