Paper Abstract:

A 3-dimensional simulator has been constructed for training surgeons to extract blood clots using various mechanical
thrombectomy devices (MTDs). The system addresses the issues of realism, fluid dynamics and interface design. The
simulation will also permit the testing of new blood clot removal devices prior to clinical testing. |
