Paper Abstract:
|
Due to the increasing number and power of mobile devices combined with decreasing prices in recent years, more and more students own mobile devices that are reasonably powerful to support mobile learning scenarios. Therefore schools nowadays usually would not need to buy these kinds of devices for their students, if a methodology could be provided that allows for integrating heterogeneous devices in collaborative mobile learning scenarios. The challenge is not only the heterogeneity and the lack of standardization, which requires learning scenarios and applications to support a large number of different devices. Another important aspect is the definition of user roles according to the functional differentiation [1] of the devices as well as the workflow in such a heterogeneous settings. This work presents an architectural approach for supporting learning scenarios in multi-device environments. |
