Paper Abstract:
|
This paper proposes a novel mobile system for supporting electronic circuit experiments in technological education. A
mobile computer monitors circuits made by students during experiments and transmits video data of the circuit to a remote
analysis system. The analysis system automatically recognizes the circuit construction and translates the circuit into a
general circuit-description language (SPICE), which allows simulation of the circuit operation based on the translated
SPICE information. This information is downloaded to the mobile computer, allowing the students to check the behavior
of the circuit on their computer display and discover any circuit errors in real time. Thus, the system improves the
efficiency and safety of experiments involving circuit construction. This system can be applied in remote experimental
education. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed system by applying it to a basic electronic circuit. |
