Paper Abstract:      Although security and content protection is an important issue in other web-driven businesses, this is not yet the case in e-Learning systems. So far, e-Learning organizations have focused their investments in the creation and maintenance of e-Learning courses while relying on standard web authentication mechanisms to implement access control to the material. This can be seen to have many shortcomings, e.g. the content can be easily captured from a web browser in almost all e- Learning platforms. In this paper, we describe Amulet, an implementation of a trusted DRM system for e-Learning secure transfer and content viewing. Amulet applies state of the art DRM techniques to the field of e-Learning to allow protected distribution and access to SCORM content. Among the desirable features, Amulet allows offline access to e-Learning material and provides resilience to many tampering techniques.
