Paper Abstract:
|
The cloud-computing infrastructure is available as a service through virtualization using hypervisors. However, there is a wide spread of hypervisors, each one with its own advantages and disadvantages. The specific characteristics of each virtualization allow the existence of different performances. The aim of the experiments is to determine which factors (virtual machines, operating system, core quantity and memory) and settings of these factors influence the algorithm performance in a cloud computer. These experiments were planned and executed based on experimental design theory. The algorithm tested is TestDFSIO read from Hadoop benchmark. Results showed that the modified configuration of the virtual environment influences the algorithms performance. |
