Paper Abstract:
|
Evaluates theories that support the development of an emotional computing platform that can interpret users affect and
respond accordingly. If the design of the affective response system is able to accurately apply rules based on theories on
human emotions, it may be possible for computers to evolve into desirable companions rather than merely productivity
and task-oriented engines. This paper reviews relevant literature to determine if a heuristic engine can enable a
computing platform to provide appropriate affective responses to human interaction. |
