Paper Abstract:
|
Education and lifelong learning can be seen as important opportunities to adapt ones knowledge and competence to the
requirements of the Knowledge Society. New technologies have been welcomed widely as having the potential to
increase access and participation to learning, offering a way to overcome barriers such as those of cost, time or space.
However, for technology to play a relevant role in lifelong learning it needs to be perceived as a useful tool and not only
and no longer as a complex stuff. The aim of this paper is to present a pilot case study about a non formal way to
involve adults in dealing with Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and to move their perceptions
towards new technologies, from something above all difficult to learn to something interesting and beneficial to use. |
